School District No. 42 meets the learning needs of approximately 15,000 students of all ages in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. Our mission is to support all individuals in their development as successful learners, and as respectful, caring and responsible members of society. School District No. 42 lies within the traditional territories of the Katzie First Nation and the Kwantlen First Nation. The Aboriginal Education department supports all students in our schools who self-identify as having either First Nations, Métis, or Inuit ancestry in their family line.
