WNDX is thrilled to present a live digital concert with internationally acclaimed musician Beverly Glenn-Copeland, on Saturday, October 10 at 6PM CT / 8PM AT. Joining us via Zoom from his studio in Grand-Digue, New Brunswick, Glenn’s performance will be accompanied two time zones over in Winnipeg, Manitoba, by live visuals from experimental filmmaker and frequent WNDX favourite Leslie Supnet.
Staggeringly inventive and long before its time, Beverly Glenn-Copeland’s music blends avant-garde minimalism and traditional songwriting, folk and jazz instrumentation with new-age synth. His singular voice, momentous and warm, has found a devoted and enthusiastic new audience since recent reissues of his criminally underappreciated-at-the-time LPs and cassettes.
Leslie's visuals for Beverly Glenn-Copeland will take a multimedia approach, using elements of animation, home movies, images and text to create a live dream-like collage inspired by Glenn's magical and healing sonic landscape.
