Yannis Lobaina
Yannis Lobaina is an award-winning Cuban Artist, author, filmmaker , photographer based in Toronto. Yannis explores immigration, diaspora, and motherhood themes through various storytelling tools. Lobaina is currently focusing on minimalist photographic storytelling that explores where pattern relationships are found in nature. Her passion is capturing fleeting moments, everything becomes part of the composition that I am weaving with my stories and visual poetry.
