Neighbour Day is an annual community celebration that brings together residents from various neighbourhoods to foster a sense of unity, connection, and goodwill. This event aims to promote neighbourly interactions, strengthen community bonds, and encourage acts of kindness and support among Thunder Bay's diverse population.
On Neighbour Day, local residents and community organizations are encouraged to host and participate in activities that promote social interaction and engagement with their neighbours. These activities can range from block parties and barbecues to community clean-up initiatives, outdoor games, and sports tournaments. The emphasis is on creating opportunities for people to meet, interact, and build relationships with those who live nearby, fostering a sense of belonging and community pride.
