Throughout B.C. Culture Days the Oceanside Community has an exciting lineup of four events that we have carefully curated to involve something that will appeal to all community members, from our kids to our seniors, and everyone in between. We are pleased to offer a Society of Canadian Artists exhibition & competition, the first one held in B.C. for many years. Visual Artists are going to truly step out of the box by participating in our “Exquisite Corpse” event where they will collaborate to paint ‘blind’ and undoubtedly produce some visual surprises. To show our support for Breast Cancer Awareness, we are excited to invite all community members to “bedazzle a bra” for exhibition and fundraising. One of the highlights this year will be the 3D Anamorphic Street Painting Project. We have a group of School Children working on a collaborative, ocean themed, 3D artwork in Oil Pastels. The results of their teamwork is going to amaze all of the participating kids, as well as the general public, when we reveal their Masterpiece and provide guests with the ultimate Photo Op. We cannot wait to Re-Imagine our post pandemic community as we Re-Emerge from isolation and celebrate our Oceanside Paradise together.
