Lumsden is a beautiful place to visit in the fall, a great time to visit is for the Annual ScareCrow Festival. A little something for everyone ! The Town is filled with more then 100 public scarecrow displays, a must walk or drive around our little community. On Saturday, September 20 there are many activities throughout the community including; family pancake breakfast at the Heritage Home including music and children's program, visit the museum site for tours of historical buildings/car show/music and concession, visit the 80 vendors downtown displaying numerous crafts and art works, stop by the Dew Drop In for pie and refreshments, take a break from the street market and visit the nearby beer gardens for food, drink and music, enjoy a free horse wagon ride, visit Lion's park and the family fun zone - numerous activities for the family, shop local and visit the numerous Lumsden businesses open with numerous specials, after supper drop in to experience the animated story book in Lion's park followed by the Lantern Parade, at dusk bring your blankets and get cozy for the outdoor movie in Lion's park and end the day with an incredible firework display choreographed to music.
