À propos

Edenvale Classic Aircraft Foundation (ECAF) and Canadian Air & Space Conservancy Museum (CASCM) are opening their hanger doors at Edenvale Aerodrome, Stayner for a special Heritage Day on Saturday, October 4th from 10 am to 3 pm to recognize some pivotal moments in Canadian Aviation History.

View vintage aircraft like the de Havilland Tiger Moth (1945) from WWll in flight! Learn about the importance of the BCATP as we acknowledge the 80th anniversary of the ending of WWll. See the splendor of the Avro Arrow R203 (full sized replica) in real life as we celebrate the 68th anniversary of the first roll out of this iconic airplane. ECAF & CASCM would like to take this opportunity to collect local personal stories in regard to both time periods as well as to reminisce with the general public and other historical aviation enthusiasts.

Organisateur

Edenvale Classic Aircraft Foundation (ECAF) & Canadian Air & Space Conservancy Museum (CASCM)

The Edenvale Classic Aircraft Foundation brings together people who share an interest in the aircraft of yesterday which played an important part of Canadian aviation history. The ECAF works to keep aviation history alive. Volunteer members maintain a library devoted to the history of aviation and help with the construction, repair, restoration, maintenance and preservation of our aircraft. Flights are available in our vintage de Havilland Tiger Moth (1943) and Fairchild PT-26 Cornell.

The Canadian Air & Space Conservancy Museum (CASCM) is committed to preserving and sharing Canada’s rich aviation and aerospace heritage. Their mission is to narrate the history of both civil and military aviation in Canada, highlighting contributions from the early days of the JN-4 Jenny to the advancements leading up to the Space Shuttle. By featuring the Avro Arrow Replica, CASC aims to showcase the stories of the men and women who designed, built, and piloted these remarkable machines, emphasizing their significant impact on Canada’s development.
