À propos
Lightsabers not required — just bring your curiosity!
This Culture Days, step inside the Queen Elizabeth Park Community & Cultural Centre and see the Oakville Symphony up close in a free open rehearsal. Maestro Lorenzo Guggenheim and the orchestra will be working on thrilling highlights from John Williams’ iconic Star Wars Suite, including The Imperial March, Princess Leia’s Theme, and The Throne Room and End Title.
You’ll also hear vivid scenes from Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition in Ravel’s dazzling orchestration, from the playful Ballet of the Unhatched Chicks to the powerful Hut on Chicken’s Legs.
Watch how the orchestra shapes the music, fine-tunes every detail, and brings these incredible scores to life. Hear the stops, starts, and musical discoveries that make rehearsals so fascinating — and ask questions along the way.
Free and open to everyone. However, space is limited in rehearsal hall. A limited amount of wristbands will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis throughout the day at QEPCCC for those interested in attending the performance.
Come for the music you love, stay to discover more.
