Join M'akola Housing Society for a film screening of Penelakut: Return to the Healing Circle. This important documentary film shows the filmmaker returning to Penelakut Island 25 years after documenting abuse at Kuper Island Indian Residential School.

This event offers an opportunity to gather as a community to reflect on the impacts of residential schools and their ongoing effects on Indigenous communities. Together we can deepen our understanding, honour the stories of those affected by colonization and residential schools, and promote healing.

There will be a Q & A session after the film.
