Take a virtual walk through a National Historic site! Dalnavert was built in 1895, but has come to join us online in the 21st century thanks to ever advancing technology. Click through to learn what life was like for Dalnavert residents in 1919 during the Winnipeg General Strike.
Navigate through the house like you would Google Maps. Select the “mattertags” (orange and white dots and blue and white dots) to learn more. You can also navigate the tour using a VR headset and the Matterport VR app.

Built in 1895, Dalnavert Museum is an ornate Victorian mansion nestled in the heart of Winnipeg. This unique museum features a “day in the life” feel as it transports you back in time to the 19th century the second you step inside. Dalnavert Museum and Visitors' Centre (DMVC) is a national historic site and one of the finest examples of Queen Anne Revival architecture in Western Canada. Today the museum fosters engagement with history, culture, and much more.
