À propos
Korean Artists Society of Canada (KASC) is holding a 29th annual exhibition digitally under the theme of ‘The Natural Environment’ from October 21st to November 2nd, 2020. The theme is relevant to all generations currently as one of the most sensitive and compelling topics. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing protocols, something we can do as artists is to express our reflection and thoughts with artworks. We wish to establish a connection with others by bringing contemporary art into the interest of our community or general public. Our artists specialize in several different forms of the fine arts, including abstract painting, mixed media, traditional Korean painting, sculpture, lacquer ceramics, fashion, and fabrics dyeing. Our members use these various skills to articulate the annual theme within their works. As a special feature for the 29th exhibition, we invited guest artists - seven artists from the province of Québec and two emerging artists from the second generation of Korean immigrants. In light of COVID-19, the exhibition will be featured online through social media sites too. Artists will post statements about their work through videos on our YouTube channel, and we will play these videos at the exhibition site. We will be sure to keep social distancing rules and limit the number of gallery visitors at the same time.
Due to COVID-19 this exhibition will now take place digitally. Please visit the Digital Gallery below to view the exhibition.

Korean Artists Society of Canada (KASC)
The Korean-Canadian Artists’ Society of Canada (KASC) was launched in 1980 by a group of Korean-Canadian immigrant artists. It was established as an official society in 1992. Since then, it has solidified its place in Canada as a creative Fine Arts group. The KASC holds gallery tours, art seminars, and annual exhibitions. Several of our members adjudicate for children’s art contests. With over 71 members, KASC is one of the largest Korean immigrant artist groups in North America.
