Inspired by her mother’s legacy and nurtured through international mentorship, Ann Marie’s work reflects a deep appreciation for the restorative power of nature amidst today’s hectic world. Drawing from the concept of forest bathing—an Eastern practice that emphasizes the healing effects of immersing oneself in natural surroundings—her pieces evoke calm, strength, and a rooted connection to the earth. The exhibit features a diverse array of trees, from familiar to exotic, each crafted to create a tranquil “island of calm” for urban dwellers seeking reflection and peace within their everyday lives.
