À propos

measure

In this exhibition, artists consider how we measure and track the movements of our perceived world through space and time. The works address the measurement of time, light, colours, seasons and the movement of celestial bodies. The exhibition as a whole considers complex interactions and interconnections ; how one thing can be understood to influence another... and how human bodies and technical apparatus measure, document and allow us to perceive unfolding events as part of an embodied experience.

New Media Gallery

New Media Gallery champions art and ideas that explore the creative potential and enigmatic meaning of technology in our lives. Equitable, authentic and direct engagement and dialogue is pivotal to our curatorial practice.

Founded in 2014, NMG is a vibrant, contemporary art gallery, operated and supported by the City of New Westminster. Each year we curate, design and build 3-4 significant, group exhibitions. Over the past eight years we have presented 30 group exhibitions featuring more than 133 works by more than 160 exceptional artists from 39 countries. We have achieved an international profile, working with some of the most exciting artists in the world.

New Media Gallery develops innovative public, professional and educational programming and events. Our creative technology workshops operates out of Art + Technology LAB. Here we focus on encouraging a broad understanding of how technology can be used for creative purposes, pedagogy, critical thinking and the creation of meaning.
