À propos

Come take part in a free tree planting event at Chancellor District Park!

The species planted will consist of pollinator trees, which are critical in the functioning of ecosystems. They provide food, form habitats and provide a wide range of other resources for many animal species.

A safety demo will be conducted before planting begins, so please arrive on time. Shovels will be provided.

This event is family friendly and there will be activities on hand for children.

This project is generously funded by a grant from TD Friends of the Environment Foundation.

To bring:

-Appropriate clothing (this event will be held rain or shine)

-Gardening gloves

-A filled reusable water bottle to stay hydrated

City of Vaughan

With a population of more than 340,000 residents, Vaughan is one of the fastest growing communities in Canada, home to more than 217 ethnic or cultural origins with 113 different languages spoken. It is a vibrant, diverse, inclusive and equity-based community that recognizes and celebrates arts, culture and heritage.

We recognize that Vaughan is situated in the Territory and Treaty 13 lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. We also recognize the traditional territory of the Huron-Wendat and the Haudenosaunee. The City of Vaughan is currently home to many First Nations, Métis and Inuit people today. As representatives of the people of the City of Vaughan, we are grateful to have the opportunity to work and live in this territory.
