Join the City's Public Art Coordinator on a walking tour of Brightening Barriers, the downtown patio art project. Learn unique insights into the artworks and meet other art-minded folks! The tour is family-friendly.
About Brightening Barriers: With patio fencing serving as a canvas, Brightening Barriers offers an opportunity to turn the “barrier" of imposed separation into a collective artistic experience. This project supports visual artists by highlighting regional artists and original works of art. This project is organized by the Barrie Public Art Committee.
This tour begins at 1pm at the City Hall Courtyard, outside by the fountain (70 Collier St.). It will follow the Culture Days Flag Raising which takes place from 12:30pm to 1pm.
Another tour will be offered on September 23rd, starting at 1:30pm at Meridian Place (30 Simcoe St.).
