Meraki Theatre

Meraki Theatre is a Winnipeg-based independent theatre company on a mission to make meaningful theatre experiences that create change and nurture compassion. Meraki Theatre Productions creates and operates and lives on Treaty 1 Territory on the ancestral lands of the Cree, Dakota, Dene, Oji-Cree, Ojibwe and the homeland of the Metis Nations. We are made up of a team of artists who are passionate about the theatre and arts community here in Winnipeg.

Meraki Theatre held our first ever Youth Empowerment Theatre Camp in 2018, and since then we've been offering classes, day camps, workshops, school PD classes, week-long camps, and touring school productions for youth. Our programming focuses on themes of acceptance, self-confidence, equality and belonging. We provide opportunities for students to engage in theatre in an accepting and collaborative environment. Our classes focus on providing opportunities to have young voices heard and their ideas brought to life.
