À propos

Join us for a Downtown St. Catharines Art Crawl Friday October 11 from 5 pm - 11 pm. Market Square will be converted to a Marketplace to buy handmade goods from local artists, while the rest of Downtown will be transformed into exhibition spaces throughout local businesses.

The Downtown St. Catharines Art Crawl will celebrate our vibrant arts community and connect local artists and businesses to create a bustling visual arts walking tour to downtown gallery spaces, restaurants and storefronts. This inaugural event will provide exhibition opportunities to emerging and established artists within the community and a chance to celebrate creativity, diversity, local businesses and the arts, enriching the lives of participants and the wider community.

Art Crawl’s function as a way for folks to experience a city’s art, food, music, and businesses, through a unique walking tour that offers opportunities for local and visiting patrons to explore, shop and have a good time! Visitors are encouraged to walk through and around our downtown core to engage with the restaurants, bars, businesses, galleries, arts organizations, market space, and stores.

Organisateur

Rodman Art Institute of Niagara

Rodman Art Institute of Niagara is a registered charity dedicated to the advancement of the public’s appreciation and understanding of the visual arts.

We continue the 60-year legacy of Rodman Hall Art Centre with care for our community’s treasured art collection and a focus on curated exhibitions, creative projects, public events, and education programs for all ages.

While RAIN works to establish a new, dynamic public art gallery to replace Rodman Hall Art Centre, we are developing and delivering collaborative programming in our temporary gallery space in Downtown St. Catharines. Presentation of RAIN’s permanent collection and artworks by leading artists will take place online and in temporary, unexpected, or borrowed spaces. We will look to additional new civic, institutional, and private partners for support of future programs and facilities. With strong commitment from the community RAIN will expand opportunities for transformative experiences through art.

This project was made possible by the My Main Street Community Activator stream. My Main Street is built on the principle of supporting community economic development and creating vibrant and diverse neighbourhoods where residents from all backgrounds can benefit, enjoy and feel safe in their communities and on their main streets. My Main Street is delivered by the Canadian Urban Institute (CUI) and is supported by a Government of Canada investment through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario) to foster the stabilization and revitalization of main streets across southern Ontario.
