At the Caledon Creative Arts Festival, join us for a hands on workshop.

Workshops are first-come, first-serve. Registration for the workshop in-person, opens one hour before workshop begins.

This welcoming workshop invites participants of all backgrounds and skill levels to explore the ancient art of weaving, inspired by the rich tapestry of cultures and the beauty of our local environment.

In this hands-on session, participants will receive guidance on weaving techniques and use provided materials to create their own small tapestry. After a brief introduction, they can choose their materials and work at their own pace. A variety of loom sizes, animal-shaped frames, and other materials encourage creativity and self-expression.

The workshop prioritizes sustainability by using natural fibres sourced from eco-friendly, local suppliers whenever possible. By working with biodegradable and responsibly produced materials, participants engage not only in artistic creation but also in environmental awareness.

All materials—including looms, tools, needles, and supplies—are provided. Participants will leave with their completed pieces to take home.
