À propos
Have you heard about Saskatoon’s first public schoolhouse?! The original Victoria School, now known as the Little Stone Schoolhouse (LSS), was built in 1887 by Alexander Marr. The one-room schoolhouse was used until 1905, then dismantled stone by stone and reconstructed on the University of Saskatchewan campus in 1911.
In celebration of Culture Days 2024, the Diefenbaker Canada Centre will be hosting a free open house event on Saturday, September 21 from 12 to 2pm! Come learn about the history of the one-room schoolhouse and participate in a variety of Victorian Era school activities and games led by costumed interpreters! All ages are welcome!
