À propos

For over a century, the Indian Residential School system in Canada violated the rights of First Nations, Inuit and Métis children. Public commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools is a vital component of the reconciliation process and The Museum and Archives of Vernon recognizes it has an important role to play in the efforts towards reconciliation between Indigenous and non‐Indigenous people in so-called Canada.

On September 30th the Museum will host a special exhibition that honours the lost children and survivors of residential schools, their families and communities. Short films will be played throughout the day and a discussion circle focused on our personal responsibility to the 94 Calls to Action will be held from 2pm - 4pm.

**Registration for the discussion circle is required.
