Fused glass, often referred to as warm glass or kiln formed glass, is a technique to join compatible sheet glass at high temperatures. Glass is shaped by cutting and arranged based on the piece to be created. Pieces are placed in a kiln and the glass is fused at around 1500 degrees fahrenheit. Slumping or draping into shapes like plates or bowls requires a second pass through the kiln at slightly lower temperatures while on a mold.
Angela has been working in fused glass since 2017. She most enjoys creations of a whimsical nature. A newcomer to Gananoque, Angela has appreciated the artistic inspiration of the town and its people.
