À propos
Into the Light is a short documentary that follows Kelowna's Michelle Behr (Okanagan Photography), who uses photography to support local men in their challenges with mental health. By focusing on men’s resilience, Michelle finds inspiration to overcome her own trauma.
Michelle's work can be seen in the Atrium and Atrium Display Cases at the Rotary Centre for the Arts throughout September and October 2020. This screening is an extension of her work and will be followed by an artist talk featuring Michelle and some of her photography subjects - men overcoming their mental health challenges.
Tickets to the event are free, with donations gratefully accepted and going directly to the artist. Confirming your reservation in advance is strongly recommended as space is limited due to covid-19 safety measures. Reserve here: https://rotarycentreforthearts.com/events/event/78202/
Please note: masks are mandatory in the Mary Irwin Theatre and social distancing will be in effect. Visit www.rotarycentreforthearts.com for more information about covid-19 safety measures at the venue.
This is a TELUS STORYHIVE production. TELUS STORYHIVE supports compelling, original stories told by filmmakers from BC and Alberta by providing production funding, training and exposure to new audiences.
