Women and Women-Identified Folks
À propos
Join us at EWMA Studio and learn a brief overview on dream catcher history and then learn how to create your very own! This workshop will be facilitated by traditional artist Patricia.
A dream catcher is traditionally made from a hoop (in First Nation cultures they are a handmade willow hoop) with woven sinew, or string, meant to replicate a spider's web, which is then used as a protective charm for infants as they are often hung over cradles. The dream catcher may also include sacred items such as certain feathers or beads.
*Please drop-by the EWMA Studio in advance to sign-up for this workshop to guarantee your spot, as space will be limited.

Enterprising Women Making Art
Enterprising Women Making Art (EWMA) is a development initiative of Atira Women's Resource Society that focuses on supporting women in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. The EWMA Studio is a safe space for all women, and women identified folks, to make art, learn new skills, and create marketable goods. In the EWMA Store, we promote and sell the women's work, generating a safe, secure income for the artists.
