Experience the highs and lows of the commercial fishing industry during an afternoon of original poetry, prose, and songs celebrating the commercial fishing lifestyle.
Commercial fishermen (and those who know them well) share the excitement of a great catch, the disappointment of an empty net, the allure of the sea, and the longing for home.
Held at the historic Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site, in Steveston, BC.

The Gulf of Georgia Cannery Society honours Canada’s fishing heritage by preserving and promoting West Coast fishing history and by operating the Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site on behalf of Parks Canada.
Built in 1894, the Gulf of Georgia Cannery was the largest building of its kind and the leading producer of canned salmon in BC. It is now home to a museum celebrating the West Coast fishing industry.
