Discover Richmond’s storied past throughout the year and over the Culture Days weekend at Steveston’s historic sites. Try your hand at mending fishing nets at Britannia Shipyards, hop aboard the Steveston Tram and meet the friendly Conductor, wash clothes at London Heritage Farm and draft a bank note with a fountain pen in the Bank Manager’s office at the Steveston Museum.
How did the Conductor's coin changer work? Why were farmers taking milk canisters on the tram cars? Learn the answers to these questions and more at Culture Days at the Steveston Tram!
Other activities include our Mobile Discovery Corner, Culture Days Scavenger Hunt and be sure to collect a tram ticket from one of our Conductors if you are a younger visitor!

Steveston Tram and the City of Richmond
The Steveston Tram houses the Richmond Museum's largest artefact, 107-year-old Tram Car 1220. The Interurbans ran from Steveston to Marpole beginning in 1905, ending in 1958 in favour of cars and buses.
Tram Car 1220 was cosmetically restored between 2016 and 2018 and now sits on its original rails in Steveston Village at the location of the first Steveston Station as a stationary exhibit.
