Silk screen printing, also known as serigraphy or screen printing, has a rich history dating back to ancient times in China. The process originally involved using fine silk mesh stretched over wooden frames and utilized stencils for printing images on various surfaces, such as paper and fabric.

This is our second annual Screen Printmaking Workshop for the public. Many designs are themed for Orange Shirt Day and you can choose the stencil and colour that you'd like on your shirt, we do have multiple designs to choose from!

We will walk you through the steps of Silk Screen Printing on your own shirt to wear, and save you a lot of design time by offering multiple pre cut stencils for your shirt!

This year we are excited to be featuring some local artist designs for Orange Shirt Day, more details to follow.

The Arts Conservatory

Our school started as a humble home-based business. While we’ve grown immensely over the decades, remaining true to our roots has guided our course: we are still that same family business at heart. Today we are as dedicated to our community and to each family, child and employee who comes through our doors as we were the day we first started.

As anybody who’s attempted to earn a living in the arts knows, this is a challenging industry. But it also comes with a unique privilege: it gives us front-row seats to watch the impact the arts have on not only the children who come through our doors, but on their families and on the community at large.

Bearing witness to that impact will always be at the heart of everything we do. Our ability to thrive and survive during changing times has always been about taking what is good and watching it transform into something truly great.
