Stay COOL in the shade! Clouds are the most natural and emblematic phenomenon of creating shade on the earth’s surface. Cool is a 30-foot-tall cocktail stir stick, with a cloud at the top, creating shade for passers-by. This cloud is strategically positioned, astronomically, to be a solar sundial. The cast shadow is just enough for a seat or two; sit down at your favorite hour of the day and enjoy COOL.
COOL is designed by invited artist MVRDV from Rotterdam, Netherlands. Presented by StorefrontMB and The Forks, Cool Gardens is a public exhibition of contemporary garden and art installations that celebrate the interface between nature, art, architecture, urbanism and design.
