À propos

Join us for a virtual conversation with artist and organizer Hiba Abdallah and the unveiling of her new commissioned public art at McMaster Museum of Art. The artist is known for her provocative and poignant text-based works that engage both specific neighbourhoods and the wider city. We’ll be talking about this new installation and her growing relationship to the city of Hamilton through recent presentations at Supercrawl and Centre[3].

Video will be live throughout Culture Days.

Organisateur

McMaster Museum of Art

Established in 1967, McMaster Museum of Art (MMA) is a public, non-profit, university-affiliated gallery situated in the heart of McMaster University campus on the traditional territories of the Mississauga and Haudenosaunee nations and within the lands protected by the Dish With One Spoon wampum agreement. The MMA, which houses the University’s internationally recognized collection of approximately 6000 art objects, presents exhibitions and provides public programs through scholarly research and interpretation.

Our vision is to positively disrupt the traditional museological narrative by creating more inclusive, dynamic and experiential relationships between peoples and artistic practices.
