Beachscape is a transformation of The Forks Port into a popup urban beach, providing a pocket for leisure amongst The Forks’s crowded landscape. Sand substitutes the sod, and wooden decks serve as “beach towels.” Its accommodating infrastructure encourages multiple occupations, an open framework in support of urban life.
Beachscape is designed by spmb (São Paulo-Manitoba). Presented by StorefrontMB and The Forks, Cool Gardens is a public exhibition of contemporary garden and art installations that celebrate the interface between nature, art, architecture, urbanism and design.
