À propos

Experience the magic of live storytelling, the oldest form of the arts.

Join longtime professional & emerging tellers for a Cric?-Crac! of fabulous stories around the hearth....from epic world tales to personal narratives, poetry, music, & an Ex Tempore story circle.

Cric? Crac! happens the first Sunday of the month, based around a unique theme each session.

October is Behold the Light! Stories of Hildegard of Bingen, Luminous 12th Century Mystic with Margaret Murphy & Leah Hokanson.

Hildegard is largely known through her remarkable accomplishments: as theologian, writer, musician, public speaker, composer, visual artist, healer, hospice worker, linguist & abbess of three religious communities. This story celebrates a new perspective: exploring who the woman is, diving into her thoughts & feelings as she faces remarkable challenges, & honouring her ability to be fiercely steadfast in proclaiming her Truth. To enhance the experience, Leah Hokanson provides beautiful music & exquisite singing woven throughout the stories.

Behold the Light! is indeed a celebration of the courage, resilience & deep faith of Hildegard. Her message is beautifully clear: Take back your own Listening, Use your own voice & Behold your own Light. Please come & join the celebration.

Presented with the North Shore Tellers since 2000.

Admission by donation.
