Learn more about Indian corn, a food rich in history and nutrition. We will all make our own version of the traditional corn soup at home!
Wednesday, Oct 20 at 5:00pm (EST)
Join us in learning about Indigenous cultural food traditions and cooking with our guest instructor Edgar Ahosenae, knowledge keeper and member of the Cayuga Wolf clan of the Six Nations. Edgar be educating us in his background, culture, language and leading us in making a traditional celebration meal, Corn Soup. Together Edgar and COOKSMART founder Kathy Stewart, will lead participants to make your own corn soup for dinner.
Great learning experience for the whole family!
Please register for the zoom link and Pay-What-You-May to support our Indigenous program.
Our hope is to encourage as many people as possible to learn from this experience, and begin their own journey of Truth and Reconciliation in a fun and accessible, hands-on experience that brings us together around our kitchen tables.
