The 2020 Shatitsiróthá Waterloo Indigenous Student Centre (WISC) annual Powwow is going virtual! We will be live-streaming everything from traditional dancing and workshops, to teachings and community-mural painting.

Though a departure from tradition, we are excited for folks to participate virtually so that we can celebrate safely as a community. It is our hope that this year, despite being separated, we can come together and, true to our name Shatitsiróthá, we can reignite the flame.

Waterloo Indigenous Student Centre

We are a student services centre supporting Indigenous students attending the University of Waterloo. We provide students the opportunity to practice, learn and reconnect to their culture in a safe space. Through a variety of support systems such as Elder teachings, cultural programming, academic services and community gatherings, we strive to enrich the lives of students as they make their way through post-secondary.
