À propos

Join us on Saturday, September 28 for expanded cinema performances featuring no outside (NO BORDERS ON STOLEN LAND), a new work by arc commissioned for WUFF 11, drawing inspiration from a 1968 land art work by Dennis Oppenheim and shared experiences of refused entry at the US/Canadian border, to be performed via set of instructions by Scott Fitzpatrick, Leslie Supnet and Kristiane Church. Each guest performer will also select and project a short work from our all celluloid Secret Cinema catalogue.

Scott Fitzpatrick is a media artist, technician and arts programmer from Winnipeg, MB. His work engages film and video, sound, collage, photography and performance. He's a founder of the Winnipeg Underground Film Festival and a former artistic director of the WNDX Festival of Moving Image. Since 2020 he's done tech work as part of Collective Broadcast Co. He lives in West Broadway with his cats Batty and Wizard.

Leslie Supnet is a contemporary experimental filmmaker who creates media works that explore themes of loss, change and the passage of time. Using animation, live-action, collage and material exploration, Supnet’s process is guided by lyricism and intuition.

Kristiane Church is an artist working in filmmaking, photography, installation, costume, and performance. Her practice centers image and world making, the camera and positioning of body and voice. She works as a cinematographer for various filmmakers, as well as the Photography Technician at the School of Art (U of M). She has been the coordinator and projectionist of the One Take Super 8 Event put on by WNDX Festival of Moving Image for the past three years.

Presented in partnership with The Winnipeg Underground Film Festival.
