À propos
The Garden City Comedy Festival is an annual multi-day, multi-venue event celebrating all things comedy in St. Catharines. Join us for some laughs as Festival Director David Green performs a live stand-up comedy performance with special guests Thomas Calnan and Fiona O'Brien.
David Green is an award-winning comedian, television host and the Festival Director of the Garden City Comedy Festival. Headlining at comedy clubs across Ontario, his comedy has been featured on Funny 820, College Humor, Rogers TV, YOUR TV and Newstalk 610 CKTB.
A multi-talented performer, David is the host of the award winning talk show Live on Queen with David Green as well as the "Hilarity in the Horsehoe" TV Show which airs on Cogeco YourTV Niagara. As a writer he is the recipient of the Culture Capital of Canada Literary Arts Award. He was also the recipient of the Emerging Artist Award at the 2017 St. Catharines Arts Awards.
Winner of the 2016 Windsor Comedy Fest, and featured on CBC radio's Laugh Out Loud, Thomas Calnan has been performing stand-up for the past six years and has entertained literally dozens of people across Ontario. Through his steady work ethic, great writing, and a seemingly unending supply of compromising photographs of every comedy producer in Canada, Thomas is definitely someone you can expect to hear more about in the future.
After Emigrating from Ireland to Canada in 2012 Fiona O'Brien began on a quest to stamp out the racism that the Irish face….One Lucky Charm at a time. A graduate of the Second City Stand up Course, Fiona quickly established herself by winning over audiences. She has been featured on CBC's LOL, Sirius XM and will appear at the 2020 Halifax Comedy Festival.

FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre
Each Year the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre hosts Culture days Activities.
The FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre is a large purpose-built cultural complex located in downtown St. Catharines, Ontario. It opened in 2015 as the result of a partnership between the City of St. Catharines and Brock University, which share the venue for production, performance and learning purposes. It comprises four separate venues: a 770-seat concert hall (Partridge Hall), 300-seat recital hall, 210-seat multi-purpose dance/theatre venue (Robertson Theatre), and the 199-seat Film House.
The creation of the centre spurred a cultural and economic renaissance in downtown St. Catharines along with its neighbouring Meridian Centre and Brock University's Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts.
