The Chilliwack Museum and Archives is hosting its 7th annual community art show!
This exhibition consists of a collection of original artworks submitted by community members, on view until January 2027.
For local artists, there is no specification on the type of art that can be submitted and no age requirement - everyone is encouraged to take part.
Submission Period: September 21, 2026 to September 25, 2026
Opening Reception: October 1, 2026
Exhibition Dates: October 1, 2026 to January 9, 2027
Artwork Pick-up: January 11, 2027
Submissions must meet the following requirements:
• Submissions are limited to three artworks per artist, however, the number of pieces displayed will be dependent on total submissions and display space.
• Wall mounted artworks (photographs, drawings, canvases, etc.) must be submitted with a proper hanging mechanism.
• All submissions must be labeled legibly with the full name of the artist and title of the artwork on the back of the piece.
• Submissions are limited to 60 cm x 60 cm. Oversized submissions will be considered on a case by case basis and are dependent on available space.
• Submissions may be of any medium including, but not limited to: collage, printmaking, sculpture, textiles, ceramics, painting, drawing, photography, etc. If submitting a digital media – video, audio, etc. – please contact Mary Watson (contact below) for submission instructions.

Situated on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Sto:lo Coast Salish People, in the heart of downtown Chilliwack, the Museum features 1,200 square feet of engaging gallery space. This is a space where you meet diverse voices, knowledge, and experiences from the past and our shared present. Together we can engage with the stories that have shaped this land and the people who have lived here.
