Visit the Ojibwe Horse Sanctuary and hear the story of how these ponies suffered through colonization and were dramatically rescued and eventually brought back to Canada. Learn about what is being done today by Settlers and Indigenous people working together to revive the breed. Experience the ponies gentle connection to humans, and hear about the Spirituality they offer Indigenous people.

Aspens Ojibwe Horse Sanctuary exists to promote, preserve and protect critically endangered Ojibwe horses. Educational programs are delivered in partnership with Indigenous people to schools, community events, and open barn events year-round.

Care of the horses is a 24/7 commitment.
