À propos
Our event will be part of the annual global poetry initiative 100 Thousand Poets for Change, which takes place in hundreds of international locales at the end of each September. The Elora Poetry Centre has participated in this worldwide celebration of poetry's power to effect change since it was founded by the late Michael Rothenberg in 2011, and this year will be no exception, featuring the poetry of Kevin heronJones and Jerry Prager. Kevin writes and narrates "in the tradition of the ancient African griots who used stories and poetry to educate as well as to entertain." Jerry, a native Ontarian who now resides in Elora, is a writer, poet, playwright, sculptor, and heritage stone worker who has created and published historical accounts of this region.
