À propos

Roots Community Food Centre, Goods & Co. Market and the Waterfront District BIA invite you to the annual GOOD HARVEST FARMERS MARKET! Sunday, September 22, 2024 from 10-4pm. A one day, downtown Port Arthur, street farm fair where we can all shop local and enjoy a Good Harvest.

What is The Good Harvest?

The Good Harvest Farmers Market is a special event that gives local food producers a chance to showcase and sell their crops and products in the early fall. Now in its third year, this event brings together independent producers for a day filled with community spirit and local flavours. Shoppers can explore an outdoor market featuring play areas, food stands, a corn boil, games, and more!

With a section of Court Street next to Goods & Co. closed for the event, visitors will have plenty of space to enjoy one of Thunder Bay's only outdoor farmers' markets. Last year, we had 25 vendors and over 1,000 shoppers!

At The Good Harvest Market, you can explore the Co.Lab Gallery’s exhibition of local landscape paintings by Brenda Hurley, enjoy a side wall chalk art station, use a public Photo Booth with an artist-designed backdrop, watch live gardening demonstrations, and browse a diverse range of vendors, including knitters, crafters, jewellers, and other artisans.

We hope to see you there and make this year’s Good Harvest Farmers Market!

Roots Community Food Centre is a charitable organization and part of Community Food Centres Canada, a national network of organizations who all work under the same principles of ‘good food for all’. The Goods & Co. Market is a platform for new businesses and inclusive space for arts and culture. We focus on giving space to local food producers and artisans while also offering space to host events. Here you will find over 25 local vendors offering handmade and locally sourced products. Shop here for produce, art, books, bikes and gifts of all kinds. Be Good. Shop Local.
