The artist offers about her exhibition of quilts:

Quilting and geometry go hand-in-hand. These quilts explore different tiling patterns commonly used in quilting (apple core, clam shell) as well as in mathematics (penrose tiles, pentagonal tiled patterns). Each mini quilt was created with the following rules:

Pieced by hand using English Paper Piecing (hand-pieced quilt using fabric-wrapped papers); Utilized a tiling pattern (hexagonal, curved, pentagon etc.); Approximately 9” square; and, Consisting of black, white and one other colour of cotton fabric.

As a fan of English Paper Piecing, I’ve also chosen some quilts that follow some of the rules above and also match the rainbow the rainbow theme.
