À propos

On Saturday, Oct 7, the Godfrey Dean Art Gallery will present a drop-in come-and-go art activity throughout the afternoon from 1:00-4:00pm.

Visitors to the gallery will have an opportunity to receive a free henna art tattoo from local artist Megha Patel. This free event will welcome everyone and anyone to participate, and will bring attention to a local artist and a unique and beautiful cultural artistic practice. Participants will leave with their own unique henna art on their hands or arms, to share with their friends and families.

*Henna art tattoos generally last up to two weeks before fading, and that means you will have a chance to show off your beautiful one-of-a-kind artwork following the Culture Days event.

This activity is a unique offering for Culture Days in Yorkton, produced by the Godfrey Dean Art gallery with support from the City of Yorkton. Join us in celebrating the diversity of arts and culture here!

Godfrey Dean Art Gallery

We are located in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, on Treaty 4, land of the Cree, Ojibwe, Saulteaux, Dakota, Nakota, and Lakota, and homeland of the Métis Nation.

Through art exhibitions, workshops, education, performance, and other public programming, we aim to provide meaningful artistic experiences for everyone, reflecting the creative diversity of our community. As the only professional public art gallery in our area, we focus on curating and promoting the work of artists from here as well as artists based elsewhere in Saskatchewan and from across Canada.
