À propos
Tour the 1875 Cannington Blacksmith and Carriage Shop, located on its original site in the downtown of the former Village of Cannington. Restored by the Cannington Historical Society, the shop is filled with artifacts from this by-gone era. See where seven tradesmen plied their trades, two blacksmiths, a ferrier, a carpenter, a wheelwright, a painter and salesman/bookkeeper. Among the exhibits is The Stevenson Cart that was manufactured in the Village and featured at the CNE in 1902; a buggy and a cutter. An assortment of blacksmithing tools are displayed. Costumed interpreters are on site to explain the importance of this business in a pre-auto time.
