À propos

Paula Hartmann's “Invisible Currents” floats through the Hallway Galleries at Youngplace and is composed of interconnected black tubes arranged in countless geometric shapes, giving viewers the impression of two-dimensional drawings brought to life. The artist drew inspiration from harmonic patterns to craft these sculptures, appearing like sketches suspended in mid-air, encouraging viewers to pause, reflect, and ponder on the unseen connections between all living things and inanimate objects. This installation invites the audience to contemplate the idea that everything in the Universe is interconnected by invisible strings. These strings, imperceptible to our limited human senses, bind us all together. Moreover, the installation challenges the notion of distance, revealing it to be nothing more than an illusion. The sculptures, seemingly separate objects, move in perfect harmony, guided by the gentle touch of the natural air current.
