Enjoy an engaging, guided walking tour through this charming historic village nestled along the banks of the Grand River. Meet villagers and learn about life long ago through stories and folklore. You'll visit heritage landmarks that offer opportunities to appreciate architectural attributes and practices of days gone by. The tour ends where it began, at St. Paul's Chapel, with a celebration to commemorate the 150 year old bronze cast bell mounted high in the chapel's tower that tolls to this day.

Organisateur

Middleport Heritage Society

Middleport Heritage Society (MHS) is a Not-For-Profit and Registered Charity organization. Our mandate is to preserve the natural, cultural and built heritage in the former Onondaga Township, Brant County. Our accessible collections continue to grow through generous contribution from community members and ongoing research and discovery. MHS events offer opportunities to learn about the diverse history of our rural community. We're making strides to steward St. Paul's Chapel, Middleport. This remarkable sole surviving public heritage landmark is on its way to becoming an accessible, inclusive and multipurpose community venue.
