Learn the traditional Japanese art of resist dyeing using natural indigo in this beginner shibori workshop. Explore basic folding and binding techniques to create unique patterns on cotton fabric. Make a stitched shibori piece inspired by Shary Boyle's upcoming Moon Garden or create a pattern of your choice. Each one-of-a-kind piece can be transformed into a wall hanging or bandana. Oakville Museum

The historic buildings of Erchless Estate, once home to Oakville's founding family, are now the setting for the Oakville Museum. We offer guided tours of the Chisholm family home, changing exhibitions, special events and programs that tell the fascinating stories of our town. Visitors can stroll through the grounds and explore the many points of historical interest while enjoying picturesque lakeside views. Open Tuesday to Sunday from 1 to 4:30 p.m. General admission is by donation.

Oakville Museum exhibits are also on display in our satellite gallery at QEP Community and Culture Centre (2303 Bridge Road) and recreation facilities across Oakville.
