Learning from fungi to turn dead material into something new. Dare to imagine a different world.

Kami Goertz and Darci Madlung have worked in collaboration to imagine a recycled spore filled dream world growing from reclaimed materials to disperse reflective spores into the environment. Exploring concepts of life cycle and connection imagine a glowing world of spore domes illuminating the sky above. In the way that fungi turn decaying materials into useful nutrients, discarded materials will be re-composed with energy added in the forms of intention and creativity.

Please imagine stepping into a glowing world, like fungi overtaking the forest floor, spore domes will grow from the harsh concrete, making magic out of the forgotten, casting magical reflections, bouncing new light onto the alley walls and up to the night sky. Stop for a selfie, or moment of personal reflection, in the sporedom. We can’t wait to see you.
