À propos
Celebrate Indigenous heritage and culture while creating a visual reminder to recognize and honour the past. The Moccasin Identifier promotes the advancement of Treaty and Indigenous awareness, aiding in the development of a deeper understanding of Treaties and Indigenous relationships to the land.
The Moccasin Identifier Project was developed by Carolyn King in partnership with Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. The moccasin designs were researched and drawn by artist Philip Cote.
Join us to create paintings using stencils based on the drawings of historical moccasins of the Haudenosaunee, Anishinaabe, Huron-Wendat and Cree.
