Coastal City Ballet

Coastal City Ballet is a repertory ballet company located in Vancouver, BC. The company provides dancers with professional quality performance opportunities and training in preparation for a career in dance. Company members maintain a rigorous training schedule, modelled after a professional ballet company with daily classes, rehearsals, and performances throughout the season.

Since its inaugural season in the fall of 2011, Coastal City Ballet has successfully presented numerous productions to audiences in greater Vancouver, Regina and Saskatchewan. CCB repertoire includes full length ballets as well as neoclassical and contemporary works.

Past productions include “The Sleeping Beauty” "Hansel and Gretel”, "A Midsummer Night's Dream", "Coppelia", "Cinderella", "Swan Lake" and "Giselle", along with the staging of classical excerpts such as The Kingdom of Shades from “La Bayadère”, "Paquita", "Les Sylphides", "Don Quixote's Dream" and "Le Corsaire." Commissioned world premieres include works by Wen Wei Wang, Joshua Beamish, Marco Esscer, Stephana Arnold, Renee Sigouin, Anya Saugstad and company founder Li Yaming, among others.
