The Toronto Comic Arts Festival and North York Arts are thrilled to announce a brand-new, one-day kids focused literary event to be held at North York Central Public Library. We call it UPTOWN KIDLIT!
Uptown Kidlit is a free event that will feature a day of feature programs, drop-in workshops, and a small vendor fair with local authors selling comics, books, and more.
Participants include: George O’Connor, Deborah Kerbel, Richard Scrimger, Britt Wilson, Ted Staunton, Lesley Livingston, Kean Soo, Lis Xu, John Martz, Tory Woollcott, Chad Solomon, Anoosha Syed, Brian McLaughlan, Hilary Leung, Rabeea Syed, and many more!

Toronto Comic Arts Festival and North York Arts
TCAF is The Toronto Comic Arts Festival, taking place in 2019 at Toronto Reference Library and surrounding venues in the Bloor/Yonge neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is celebration of comics and graphic novels and their creators, which culminates in a two-day exhibition and vendor fair featuring hundreds of comics creators from around the world. Other Festival events include readings, interviews, panels, workshops, gallery shows, art installations, and much more. The full program and list of participating creators will be listed at this website, as well as in printed and digital program guides available on-site at the festival.
North York Arts is a non-profit and registered charity. NYA is one of six Local Arts Service Organizations (LASOs) in Toronto whose purpose is to deliver on the City’s social, economic and cultural goals outside of the downtown core. NYA was created to specifically address the needs and interests of artists, arts organizations and residents based in North York.
