Watch me paint as I attempt to create representations of various objects using acrylics on canvas through a selection of painting styles, primarily abstract and impressionism.
I work with an unusual and somewhat fantasy-like colour palette, often changing the pigments of an object from the expected to the unexpected. For instance, a goldfish may be cotton candy pink & blue, an apple may be pearl and white, an elephant might be gold, and so on.
Emotion and mood often drive my results, as do a deliberate attempt to achieve an unorganized but balanced painting that draws the eyes to various points on the canvas using pleasing colours, highlights, sheen, and texture.
