Participants will witness and have a chance (based on individual comfort level) to participate in the artistic/business process of a “co-lab” utilizing the medium of silk-screening. Through a 1 day drop-in workshop/ ‘art happening’ , attendee’s will have an opportunity to participate/explore and discuss (on a level that they feel comfortable with) the process of ‘collaboration’, or what has become to be known as a ‘co-lab’.

Sean-William Dawson, (recognized for his analytical pop culture imagery silkscreened on non-traditional materials) plans on collaborating with the us (Chasing New York) with an in-store silkscreen print ‘happening’.

There will be both t-shirts (free giveaway) and a ‘bring an article of clothing in to print on’ (also free) available during the event. Each item will be signed and numbered by the artist and created on-site with the direction of the participant. This event is intended to inform the public on the process and importance (both historically and presently) of collaboration. Whether it be through visual and fashion art initiatives, artists and government initiatives, or a combination of all, the ‘co-lab’ has the power and ability to reach individuals or groups that are not attainable through an individual basis.

Sean William Dawson & Logan O'Brien

Sean William Dawson is a professional artist known for his contributions to pop-culture style as well as his continued dedication to bringing the community and art world together through forums like "stART Making Sense: An Art Learning Series" where he host events and panels at local businesses.

Logan O'Brien is the Owner of Chasing New York, a local menswear boutique where he is dedicated to bringing the art of fashion to underrepresented growing markets. High-end fashion has typically focused on large metropolitan cities, Chasing New York strives to give smaller cities the chance to participate in the fashion landscape.

Both parties believe this is a great collaborative effort to bring different art styles together for the community.
